One morning at Roger Williams University, dark clouds covered the sky, and the wind began to blow hard across the campus. Soon, heavy rain poured down like a waterfall, soaking the sidewalks and turning puddles into little rivers. Students peeked out their dorm windows, watching the storm splash against the glass. Everyone knew they had class soon, but there was no way to get there without getting soaked!
Some students decided to run through the rain without umbrellas, thinking they could make it quickly. But halfway across the quad, their clothes were drenched, their shoes were squishy, and their notebooks got ruined by the water. Meanwhile, a few other students stayed inside the dorms and checked their phones for updates. They found out that professors were telling everyone to wait until the rain slowed down and to stay safe inside.
When the storm finally began to calm, the students who waited were dry, warm, and ready for class. The others learned an important lesson: it’s always better to stay safe and make smart choices, even if you’re running late. After all, getting to class a little late is better than catching a cold or ruining your schoolwork!
